The American Civil War and My Family:
Wellons, Hudson, vonAllmen, Webb, Mason, Mott and Rose

My only known direct ancestor who fought was John W. Berger.  He enlisted in Co. K of the 29th Indiana Infantry.  My third great-grandfather's nephew, John Irick Shinn, Jr., also participated in the war.  He enlisted in Co. I of the 37th New Jersey Infantry.  Lastly, my third great-grandmother's brother, John Clements, served in the war.  He served in Co. K of the 100th Pennsylvania Infantry.
