I love lavender, and I've never been able to get it to grow here. I fell in love with seeing fields and fields of lavender growing in France and Spain. And I've never been able to grow heather, like my name, although it grows on Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, which are relatively moderate in climate compared to the rest of New England.
